***ISOLATION SESSIONS***
Since we can't get together right now, we decided to write and record music by layering ideas one by one to see what flourished. This is the second song of our isolation series - If I Had a Dollar.
Although Anti-Black Racism is by no means a new issue, in light of recent events we are donating all money spent on our Bandcamp page on June 5th, 2020 to the Black Health Alliance charity. Bandcamp has waived their revenue share again this month, for this day only, so 100% of any money spent on our Bandcamp page will go directly to helping Black Canadians. The Black community has suffered far too much and for far too long, and we choose to do our part in being allies by trying to help acknowledge inequality, educate ourselves and others, and most of all keep listening.
You can visit the organization's website to learn more and/or donate directly: blackhealthalliance.ca

lyrics
If I had a dollar for every damn time
You called me on the phone and said you'd be mine
I'd be rich as dirt, if you know what I mean
Take the back off my shirt, I know it's kind of obscene
I'd be poor as the earth, the bottom dollar I bet
Decreasing in worth, was left in the rain and got wet
If I kept that dollar and folded it nice
She'd still leave me for another as a piece of advice
I'd be rich as dirt, if you know what I mean
Take the back off my shirt, I know it's kind of obscene
I'd be poor as the earth, the bottom dollar I bet
Decreasing in worth, was left in the rain and got wet
So I spent all my dollars on a pool of red wine
Like money like a lover, they'll never be mine
I'd be rich as dirt, if you know what I mean
Take the back off my shirt, I know it's kind of obscene
I'd be poor as the earth, the bottom dollar I bet
Decreasing in worth, was left in the rain and got wet
I'd be poor as the earth, the bottom dollar I bet
Decreasing in worth, well it got soaking wet.

Guitar-driven, uplifting psychedelic rock with folk- and pop-based melodies and harmonies. With funky beats and monstrous
riffs, their songs consist of instrumental sections where the musicians communicate with each other to create unique stories in sound. With lyrics about love but also laced with quirky metaphors, and often touch on subjects of science fiction and nature....more
