Track 2 from Zuffalo

lyrics

If ever I was something new, a moment or the ocean blue
I still would keep my mind and think of you.
The image of a floating tile, the numbers on a turning dial
Would help me find you even for a while.
A part of me would separate, and spin around like spinning plates
And start to occupy a different space.
Just like a mirage in the sand, you stand there pointing with your hand
Up is where your jump would like to go.

And if the time spent in the sky was on a cloud with widened eyes
Forgetting that we never used to fly.

Our thoughts would disappear like air, and start projecting over there
I’d like to feel the softness of your hair.
It brings me back to memories when you and I were in between
The towers as they fell into the sea.
We searched for them and swam below the water and the undertow
How could it be so vast, we hadn’t known.
And as I nearly gasped for air, I turned to look, you were not there
Instead the coral was beyond compare.

It swapped by body and mind, and then made them be intertwined
Making you impossible to find.

If ever I was something new, a moment or the ocean blue
I still would keep my mind and think of you.
